Rules and Requirements for Entertainers

The Entertainer, its officers, agents and employees (if applicable), in the performance of this Entertainer Contract shall act in the capacity of an Independent Contractor and not as an officer, employee or agent of the Town of LaSalle. The Entertainer agrees that it shall take such steps as may be necessary to ensure that any subcontractor or contractor shall be deemed to be an independent contractor and will not be considered or permitted to be an agent, servant, joint venture or partner of the Town of LaSalle. As such, the parties will each be responsible for their own acts of negligence as determined by law.

The Entertainer agrees to hold the Town of LaSalle harmless from any loss, claim, damage or liability of any kind. The details and manner of performance are under the control of the Artist or, in instance where a group is involved, the leader of the Artist. However, the Town has the right to direct the Artist to discontinue any activity constituting violation of Town policy, as well as any federal, provincial, or municipal laws.

The entertainer must arrive prior to their scheduled act.

The entertainer is responsible for loading and unloading all equipment. The entertainer must supply their own amplifiers, equipment and extension cords. Power supply will be provided by the Town of LaSalle.

All compensation to the entertainer will paid by cheque issued by the Town.

Ensure that all Town of LaSalle property is not damaged from entertainer's equipment.

Upon email acceptance, the Town of LaSalle, hereby grants the entertainer permission to participate in the LaSalle Night Market, subject to the Entertainer Rules & Regulations, contained herein and attached hereto all of which form part of this agreement.

By signing this field, the entertainer acknowledges that he/she has read and will abide by the Town of LaSalle Accessible Customer Service Policy, Harassment and Discrimination Program and Violence Prevention Program found at the Town of LaSalle website at www.lasalle.ca.

The Entertainer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Town of LaSalle, its agents, servants, employees, trustees, officers, Councillors and representatives from any and all liability, loss or damage that the Town of LaSalle may suffer as a result of any claims, demands, costs, actions, causes of actions or judgments, including legal fees, asserted against or incurred by the Town of LaSalle & LaSalle Night Market arising out of, during, or as a result of participation in the LaSalle Night Market, save and except any liability, loss or damage that is the result of or arising out of the sole negligence of the Town of LaSalle, its agents, servants and employees.

This entertainer agreement is only valid for the 2022 LaSalle Night Markets. Personal information is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 2001 and will be used for the purpose of vendor registration for the event.
