Application for Appointment to the Court of Revision

Applications for appointment to the Court of Revision are now open. Please note that submitting an Application does not guarantee appointment to the Court of Revision.

The Term of Office for the Court of Revision shall be from the date on which the new membership is appointed until the end of the Term of Office for Council - November 14, 2026. The Court acts as an appeal body and hears appeals on assessments as outlined in Sections 52 to 56 of the Drainage Act and makes final decisions regarding these appeals. 

To read more about the responsibilities of the Court of Revision, click here.  It is required that a member shall be a person eligible to be elected a member of Council [s.97(2)]

A person is qualified to be elected or hold office as a member of Council only if the are:

  • A Canadian Citizen
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Resides in the local municipality, or is the owner or tenant of land in a local municipality, or the spouse of such owner or tenant
  • Is not prohibited from voting or otherwise by law
